Going to 2009 Roskilde Festival
Posted by eddievegas on 4.23.2009 with 0 comments
I wasn't looking too seriously at going to the Roskilde Festival this year until it was announced that Trentemoller would be performing a 2 hour DJ set with his own edits and bootlegs. If that wasn't enough, he has a new album called Harbour Boat Trips - Copenhagen that will be released at the end of June. No doubt he will be playing some of his new material at the festival. In addition Royksopp, Fever Ray, Lulu Rouge, Deadmau5, Mike Sheridan, NIN, Coldplay, Kanye West, Adam Tensta, Oasis and many more will be performing. So I booked a ticket to Copenhagen.

Royksopp Official Happy Up Here Video

Here is the official Royksopp Happy Up Here. It pays tribute to the Space Invaders game I use to play when I was a kid. Also dig the lights since anything that reminds me of Vegas is a good thing. Enjoy!
Modeselektor, Thom Yorke, and Trentemoller
Posted by eddievegas on 2.23.2009 with 0 commentsModeselektor is an electronic music band formed in Berlin, featuring Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary. Modeselektor is reportedly a favorite group of Thom Yorke (Radiohead frontman), who has recommended their albums in interviews and included the song Silikon (from their 2005 LP Hello Mom! and featuring vocalist Sasha Perera) in a publicly available iTunes playlist. The song The White Flash (embedded above) includes vocals from Thom Yorke and this version happens to be remixed by Trentemoller.

Newer Royksopp Album?
Posted by eddievegas on 2.22.2009 with 0 comments
Royksopp is officially releasing their album Junior next month 3/23. The album is awesome and can best be described as complicated pop music. There are plenty of vocals which can be looked at as a negative by some looking for more atmospheric music. But fear not. It is rumored that Royksopp will be releasing an instrumental album called Senior later in 2009.
Lulu Rouge
Posted by eddievegas on 2.21.2009 with 0 commentsIt appears that all the music I have been listening to is related in some way. My new obsession is Lulu Rouge, a group made up of DJ T.O.M. and DJ Buda. If you dig the Trentemoller sound, you will absolutely enjoy this album. As a matter of fact, DJ T.O.M has been Trentemøller’s partner for the last 3 years. The Bless You album is almost a year old, but this is a recent find that I will be listening to for a little while.
