maniaTV - Flash Web Developer Needed in Los Angeles

maniaTV is the world's first Internet television network. The company produces, packages, sells and distributes made-for-internet entertainment programming targeting the 18-34 market.

Ideal candidate will come from a Flash programming background to produce Rich Internet Applications. It is extremely desirable for the candidate to have experience with ActionScript.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in all parts of software/application development cycle including concept consultation, initial specification, build approach, and scheduling.

• Generate code according to specifications and business requirements.

• Fix bugs and unit test new code.

• Help write Technical documentation according to business and functional specifications.

• Build, support, and maintain web-based Flash applications.

Must Have Skills:

- 3+ years experience in designing and maintaining web-based Flash Applications using. Macromedia Flash with VERY heavy use of ActionScript 2.0.(Flash video experience a plus).

- Proven experience in designing API's

- Writing re-usable flash components

- Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming and Design

- Extensive experience with integration with back-end servers

- Experience with flash video compression and streaming

- Experience with Javascript

- Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash 8 or above

- Ruby on Rails, PHP, Python, Java

- Experience with XML, HTML, DHTML
